 Normal pipes carry a risk of bursting or permanent deformation under high pressure due to hoop stress. A heavy wall thickness increases the pipe's resistance to internal stresses, while the stainless steel alloy (such as 316L, 310S, Duplex, etc.) prevents chemical wear (corrosion) of the material.
